In March 2026, Google rolled out "Ask Maps", AI-conversational local search inside Google Maps. Users now ask "where can I get same-day HVAC service in San Antonio?" instead of typing keywords. The businesses that win those answers are the ones with complete profiles, active reviews, populated Q&A, and on-site schema that matches their GBP. Most small businesses are only partially there. We fix that.
The problem
Most SA small business GBPs have hours, name, and phone, but no attributes, no service list, no Q&A, no recent posts. Ask Maps weights these heavily. Half-finished = invisible.
Ask Maps gives massive weight to recent review volume + sentiment. The 50-review competitor with monthly fresh reviews outranks the 200-review competitor with stale reviews from 2 years ago.
Google cross-references your site's LocalBusiness schema against your GBP. Mismatches (different phone, different hours, different address) confuse the algorithm. Most SMBs never align them.
How we fix it
We audit all 50+ fields in your Google Business Profile, fill gaps (services list, attributes, hours of holiday operations, accessibility tags), and align it with your website. Done in week 1.
Hooked into our review-automation system: every completed job triggers a personalized review request 1-3 hours later via SMS + email, EN/ES. Most clients see 5-10x lift in monthly review velocity.
Most SMB GBPs have empty Q&A sections. We seed the top 10-15 questions your customers actually ask (with your approval) and answer them. Plus weekly GBP posts featuring services, offers, and updates, all auto-generated and approved.
We align your website's LocalBusiness JSON-LD with your GBP exactly: matching NAP, hours, services, and reviews schema. When Ask Maps cross-checks your site against your profile, everything matches.

Common questions
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Ask Maps is Google's AI-conversational local search feature inside Google Maps, launched March 12, 2026. Instead of typing "HVAC near me" and browsing 20 options, users ask natural questions like "where can I get same-day HVAC service this weekend in San Antonio with reviews above 4.5?" Google's AI then synthesizes an answer drawing from 300M+ business profiles + 500M+ reviews. The businesses surfaced in those AI answers are the ones with the most complete, recent, and aligned data. If your GBP is incomplete or your reviews are stale, you don't exist in Ask Maps.
GBP optimization is the foundation, but Ask Maps changes the priorities. Old GBP rules: have a profile, get reviews, post sometimes. New Ask Maps reality: every GBP field matters (especially attributes + services list), Q&A must be populated to provide AI training data, post velocity matters more than post volume, and schema cross-validation between your website and GBP became a real ranking signal. Our work covers all of this, not just the basics.
Mechanically: Google re-indexes GBP fields within 48-72 hours of changes. Practically: Ask Maps is heavily weighted toward review recency and post velocity, so the full impact compounds over 30-90 days as you build a fresh review and post stream. Clients who lock in monthly maintenance typically see meaningful Ask Maps surface mentions starting around day 60-90.
Google Maps and Local SEO is included in our entry Content Velocity solution ($1,800/mo plus $500 one-time setup), bundled with full four-vector visibility (SEO, AEO, GEO, Google Maps), 4 SEO-optimized blog posts per month, and a monthly conversion audit. The first month includes a complete GBP audit, fix, and Q&A seeding. Months two and beyond include ongoing review velocity, weekly post automation, and quarterly profile re-audits. Revenue Operations ($6,500/mo plus $2,000 setup) adds review automation and a voice AI receptionist for inbound calls from Maps. Full pricing and side-by-side comparison are published on the pricing page.
Yes. Google supports two GBP types: "storefront" (you have a public address) and "service-area" (you serve customers at their location, e.g. plumbing, HVAC, mobile groomer, lawn care). Service-area businesses actually have an extra Ask Maps lever: defined service area cities + Zip codes. We optimize this carefully, too narrow and you miss searches; too wide and you look spammy. We tune to your actual service radius based on routing economics.
Either works. Most clients want done-for-you: we add ourselves as a Manager (you stay Owner), do the work, you approve weekly summaries. Some clients prefer coaching: we audit and train your team, then you maintain it. Coaching engagements are scoped during the complimentary Discovery Sprint. Done-for-you is included in the Content Velocity solution.
Free 30-minute GBP audit, we screen-share your current Google Business Profile + Maps presence, score the 50+ fields, and tell you the top 5 fixes that move the needle most.
